Dental implants offer patients many benefits, both short-term and long-term. Popular reasons to choose dental implants include stability and versatility.
We can pair dental implants with a variety of other tooth replacements, including dental crowns, bridges and dentures, to create a natural-looking, functional smile. And thanks to the incredible security of a dental implant, which fuses to the jawbone, dentures in other artificial teeth won't slip or fall out when you're laughing, talking or eating.
When dental implants fuse with the jawbone, they act in the manner of a natural tooth root, preventing the jawbone from deteriorating, which would change the appearance of the patient's face.
Why Are Dental Implants Ideal for Long-Term Tooth Replacement?
Dental implants offer exceptional durability. In fact, it's possible for an implant to last a lifetime when you maintain proper oral hygiene, keeping your teeth and gums healthy, which is an excellent long-term benefit. Unfortunately, most other tooth replacement options require more frequent replacement.
Additionally, since dental implants fuse with the jawbone, they offer unique health benefits, as mentioned above, that other tooth replacements don't offer. These health benefits are another long-term benefit of dental implants.
Dental implants provide the ideal tooth replacement solution for many patients with missing teeth when used in conjunction with other tooth replacement options.

Dental Implant Surgery
During the implant placement, your comfort is our top priority. Most patients experience only mild discomfort during an implant placement surgery. After the surgical procedure has been completed, we will wait for the area to heal and for the dental implant to fuse with the jawbone; a process known as osseointegration. The healing process usually takes between three and six months.
After healing, we typically attach a durable porcelain dental crown to the implant to act as the artificial tooth.
